So Paul thinks he needs a dog, So we have been looking and looking for a good puppy that is not $500. If anyone has any good ideas for a good OUTSIDE dog I would love to hear what you think.

there are so many options to choose from! Labs are great, but they are hyper; Huskies are wonderful, but have a lot of hair and shed twice a year; Malamutes are also great, same negatives as Huskies. My best suggestion though is to go to your local humane society or pound. they usually have puppies and they are cheap! you only have to pay for the shots, like in Pocatello they are only $90. and they need a good home where people will love them, because if they don't they get put down... its very sad! anyway... good luck on your puppy search!!!
My favs are: labs & golden retrievers; great family dogs. I also love redbone coonhounds and great danes but they require lots of room. Beagles are cute and smaller. research as much of the pros & cons though no matter what breed you get! HAVE FUN!!!!! PetsMart has an awesome puppy/dog training class.
OUTSIDE?? You can't leave a cute little puppy outside?? just kidding, We have a Boxer and she is AMAZING, great family dog, mellow and very lovey..

This site has animals from all over who are up for adoption! We have a boxer as well-and she is awesome. I love boxers-the only downside-they are prone to cancer and because of that don't have a long life expectancy. Great Danes also live for a short time. I agree with doing your research! Some need a lot more care, attention, and money than others. Get your vaccines, checkups, wormer, etc. ALSO Obedience and Socialization classes are awesome. That's my advice-as a pet owner and vet tech!
I say just get goldfish that is what i did! LOL they are a pain in the butt
